Howcast Produces Inspirational HP Web Series Featuring Renowned Moms
HP Chief Household Officer Series on YouTube Targets Growing Audience of Moms Online
Howcast Media, creator and distributor of the best how-to videos on the web and beyond, will produce its first episodic YouTube web series. The HP program entitled Chief Household Officer (CHO), will spotlight smart, savvy women who are applying their career acumen and digital know-how to conquer the most challenging undertaking of all: running their families.
The new series, premiering December 3, 2010, will feature established CHOs sharing their solutions for efficiently managing the responsibilities of their busy lives. The eight-episode series is in production and will balance in-person interviews with documentary/reality-style footage that follows and intimately documents each CHO in her everyday life. The pilot episode will feature legendary supermodel Veronica Webb, taking a look at her complex life as a businesswoman, model, TV personality and mom.
“Howcast has established itself as a company that knows how to scale the creation and distribution of high-quality, short-form instructional lifestyle content for multiple viewing platforms, and we’re looking forward to moving into serial web programming to broaden our appeal and reach new audiences and advertisers,“ commented Howcast CEO and co-founder Jason Liebman. “With supplemental content and compelling personalities, CHO embodies the next iteration of web programming.”
The CHO series will also show how HP ePrint products and solutions help to simplify the chaos of everyday life. Howcast will produce three simple tutorial videos that explain how to use HP ePrint. The tutorials will be available on YouTube as supplementary content that offers viewers more practical, how-to information demonstrating how to be a CHO in their own home.
According to Nielsen, YouTube has the largest online audience of moms in the United States -- reaching more than half the audience of online moms. With more than 2 billion total views a day, YouTube offers partners and advertisers a world of choice for reaching their audiences, including the development of sponsored ‘web original’ content.
Howcast is known for its extensive library of high-quality, short-form how-to videos for audiences on the web and beyond, and this is Howcast’s first foray into webisodic, serial programming.
