Howcast Media is looking for a bright and highly organized person with excellent communication skills to join the Howcast team as an Executive Assistant/Office Manager.

The Role
Reporting to the CEO and co-founder, you will be responsible for managing the hectic schedule of a very busy executive. This role requires that you are highly organized, can juggle many tasks at once, are not easily overwhelmed, and are comfortable interfacing with executives at Howcast and other organizations. Additionally, for the right candidate, the role includes the opportunity to take on additional mission critical work in the areas of PR and Marketing, including writing press releases, pulling media lists and pitching media outlets. Additional Project Management opportunities may also be available.
You should be interested in online media and social media and should be seeking to grow with the company. The ideal candidate will be out-going, up-to-date about online technologies, and New York City events.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing one or more busy executive calendars
- Overseeing Howcast's internship program (this includes recruitment, hiring, and co-managing interns with their department managers)

Arranging travel
- Planning events
- Answering phones
- General office work
- Ordering office supplies
- Organizing internal office events
- Managing hiring and recruitment process
- Managing office vendors
- Tracking press hits and maintaining media kits
- Researching and submitting speaking proposals
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. degree from a "top tier" school
- Experience with social media: Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, and YouTube
- Experience working on Macs
- Experience using: Gmail, Google Applications, and Microsoft Office
- Communications experience highly preferred
